Silicone dental implants?
Posted on October 18, 2007
Does anyone have any knowledge of silcone dental implants? I had a silastic silicone disc placed in my left jaw joint when the carliage in that joint crumbled. This was in 1983. As far as I know I haven’t had any problems because of the implant. It was still in tact last year. If I had any problems because of the implant, I wouldn’t know what to expect. I did start having asthma and a case of bronchitis several times a year until I was placed on preventive medication for my allergies. I still have asthma attacks but not often. I only had bronchitis once this last year, thanks to the nasal spray. I am on provental as well for the asthma. That has helped alot. I do get cramps in my body and I feel more tired than I think I should feel. The oral surgeon told me if I felt something wasn’t right to let him know. I don’t know what feels right anymore. I’m not sure if I should be concern or not. I just know that there are problems I used to not have before. If anyone has infomation on dental implants, I’ld love to hear from you. All the people who had this type of dental implants in the early eighties when I did have already had them removed. I’m not sure why. I did file a claim with corning ware should any thing develop because of this austin dental implant. I’m just not sure of what the problems are that can develop as a result of these dental implants. Thanks for any info.
