If you have a periodontal disease then you better ask a periodontist since they are the one who specializes in diagnosing and treating dental diseases and conditions either through non- surgical or surgical treatment; they are also called periodontal experts. You can choose which best person to consult about periodontal is or gum problems and that is your periodontist; they are the one that administer or performs periodontal surgery procedures. However it all depends on how you diagnosed whether they let you undergo to periodontal surgery. Also you can prevent it by dong your daily task min proper oral hygiene.
