Five things you can do to get a head start on Christmas
Posted on November 26, 2007
Christmas is so much fun but with the fun comes lots of things to do. Make sure you have the time to enjoy all the fun activities by getting a few things done ahead of time instead of leaving them to the last minute. Here are five things you can do to get a head start on Christmas:
1. Make icebox cookie dough and store it in the freezer. Then when guests come over all you have to do is pop the cookies into the oven right before they arrive. The house will be filled with the wonderful smell of cookies baking and you’ll hardly have anything to clean up.
2. Create and schedule your Christmas ecards today. Most ecard services offer a scheduling feature which means you can create all your Christmas ecards today but schedule them to be delivered closer to Christmas.
3. Find one great hostess gift and buy a bunch of them. Wrap them now so that when you are invited to a holiday party you aren’t scrambling at the last minute to find a gift and to wrap it.
4. Get started on your Christmas shopping. For your out of town friends try to do the shopping online so that you can have the gift wrapped and shipped directly to them.
5. Reserve some time once a week to wrap gifts. Get your kids involved, teach them how to wrap and get them to help you wrap gifts for friends and family. This way you won’t be left with one big pile of gifts to wrap on Dec 24th!
Even if you don’t follow these tips, perhaps they will give you ideas of other things you can do to keep on top of the Christmas to dos leaving lots of time for fun and celebration.
