In each direction you turn, either it is advertised on the radio or television, you will hear about consumer credit counseling. A credit counseling organization will attempt to get the creditors to reduce the interest on your credit cards. Most consumer credit counseling programs are only setting you up to fail unlike a debt settlement program to get you out of debt.
