Controlling Plaque And Tartar Is The Best Way To Beat Gum Disease
Posted on October 19, 2007
The calcified material that often contains bacterial debris and sometimes plaque refers to tartar. It appears as a substance that looks white and chalky. Calculus is the other name for tartar, and it can make plaque easier to stick around. And generally the stuff is considered to be a chiefly a beautifying problem.
Plaque is the culprit in cavities and gum disease. As the plaque matures and gets older, it becomes even more dangerous because it changes. As the certain bacteria in plaque feed off fermentable carbohydrates (which includes sugars, and even those in fruit and milk and starchy foods such as bread, pastas and crackers), they produce an acid the eats away tooth enamel, causing cavities. Other bacteria infect the gums, resulting in redness, inflammation and bleeding. These are the symptoms of gingivitis, which is the earliest stage of gum disease.
When gum disease is left untreated, gum disease can progress to the point where the infection can cause literal destruction on the bone that holds the roots of the teeth. Among adults over the age 35,gum disease is found to be the major cause of tooth loss.
Both plaque and tartar can form below the gum line. It takes dentist to remove tartar anywhere in the mouth and remove plaque from below the gum line. Regular professional cleanings will make your home care more effective. It is also important to have the condition of the gums checked through periodontal probing.
There various ways to keep plaque under control and this can be done by having physical contact and rinsing it away. Brush teeth well, use the right tools like soft nylon brush, try tartar-control toothpaste, floss teeth, establish a good oral routine, set limitations on how you eat sugar containing foods as well as choose healthy snacks to eat.
OraMD is a good way to prevent gum disease to develop for it is an all natural oral care product that have essential oils that can help control plaque and tartar.

Silicone dental implants?
Posted on October 18, 2007
Does anyone have any knowledge of silcone dental implants? I had a silastic silicone disc placed in my left jaw joint when the carliage in that joint crumbled. This was in 1983. As far as I know I haven’t had any problems because of the implant. It was still in tact last year. If I had any problems because of the implant, I wouldn’t know what to expect. I did start having asthma and a case of bronchitis several times a year until I was placed on preventive medication for my allergies. I still have asthma attacks but not often. I only had bronchitis once this last year, thanks to the nasal spray. I am on provental as well for the asthma. That has helped alot. I do get cramps in my body and I feel more tired than I think I should feel. The oral surgeon told me if I felt something wasn’t right to let him know. I don’t know what feels right anymore. I’m not sure if I should be concern or not. I just know that there are problems I used to not have before. If anyone has infomation on dental implants, I’ld love to hear from you. All the people who had this type of dental implants in the early eighties when I did have already had them removed. I’m not sure why. I did file a claim with corning ware should any thing develop because of this austin dental implant. I’m just not sure of what the problems are that can develop as a result of these dental implants. Thanks for any info.

Kitchen remodeling leads to health problems.
Posted on October 16, 2007
I was in the process of a kitchen remodeling job. In order to save some money, I was doing the job myself. I began to experience respiratory problems during the job. Because I was spending so much time remodeling and still working my regular day job, I thought I was simply run down and catching a cold. Symptoms became worse. I went to my family doctor and got a prescription for antibiotics. The pills didn’t seem to help. I wanted to finish the job before our Thanksgiving dinner, as we were expecting a housefull of guests. I hired a contractor to finish the job. The contractor informed me that something was definitely wrong. He had detected asbetos in the ceiling and walls. The substance was removed and I recovered from my illness. Remodeling our kitchen may have saved our lives.

I love boots and I suspect that most women do. Boots with zippers that wrap comfy around your leg – not only do they look great but I find they keep your legs toasty warm in winter.
Great to wear with jeans or skirts – wear them to work or to dinner. The boot is a very versatile fashion accessory to own. Just make sure you have proper shoe storage for them.
